What Data We Access

The Extension requires certain permissions to function properly:

• Tabs Permission: We access information about your open browser tabs (URLs, titles, favicons) to display them in the sidebar and manage your spaces.
• Bookmarks Permission: We access your bookmarks to allow you to organize and manage them through the Extension's interface.
• Storage Permission: We use Chrome's local storage to save your Extension settings and preferences.

What Data We Store Locally

All data collected by the Extension is stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This includes:

• Spaces Data: Names, icons, colors, and associated tab URLs for your custom spaces
• Current Space ID: Which space you're currently viewing
• Sidebar Visibility State: Whether the sidebar is currently visible or hidden
• Extension Settings: Any preferences you configure within the Extension

What Data We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, transmit, or share:

• Personal information (names, email addresses, etc.)
• Browsing history beyond what's needed for current tabs
• Passwords or authentication credentials
• Form data or input from websites
• Analytics or usage statistics
• Any data sent to external servers
• Any data shared with third parties

Data Transmission

No data is transmitted outside your device. All data remains stored locally in your browser's storage. The Extension does not:

• Connect to external servers
• Send data to third-party services
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Transmit any information over the internet

Permissions Explained

Required Permissions

• tabs: Required to display your open tabs in the sidebar and switch between them
• storage: Required to save your spaces, settings, and preferences locally
• scripting: Required to inject the sidebar interface into web pages (iframe mode)
• sidePanel: Required to display the sidebar using Chrome's side panel API (sidePanel mode)
• bookmarks: Required to access and manage your bookmarks through the Extension
• search: Required to perform searches using the user's default search provider (respects user's search settings)
• <all_urls>: Required to inject the sidebar on all websites you visit

All permissions are used solely for the Extension's core functionality and are not used to collect or transmit data.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your browser's built-in security
• Data is only accessible by the Extension itself
• No external parties can access your stored data
• Uninstalling the Extension will remove all stored data

Data Retention

Your data is stored locally on your device until you:

• Uninstall the Extension (which removes all stored data)
• Manually clear the Extension's storage
• Clear your browser's extension data

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access: All your data is stored locally and accessible through Chrome's developer tools
• Deletion: Uninstalling the Extension will delete all stored data
• Control: You can manage or delete spaces and settings at any time through the Extension interface

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, or external APIs. All functionality is self-contained within the Extension.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
